H. G Wells.

Those who read fictions or classics should understand that it is an unconcious convertion of reality into a mix of reality and false elements (or rather, unfulfilled elements).

H.G Wells - War of the Worlds, The Time Machine.

Both signified his two very different portrayal of the future. A very likely future as well. In "The Time Machine", the main character (HG Wells himself) arrived in the future to find a very simple environment littered with artifact buildings and items from the +- 1980 to 2000 century. With human kind both totally suppresing of their own anima and animus archetype. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anima_%28Jung%29) Man became incredibly beastlike and violent without their feminine side keeping them in balance, and woman became incredibly feminine until they lose all notion of violence and strength. Just left with childlike composition of thoughts and body.

Will these be our future? Not one of advance technological advances, but of the detrimental state of human consciousness due to our lack of care for the psycological part of human beings.

When technology advances to a certain level, common human beings can never keep up with the changes. So they just use them only instead of worrying about what brings this thing to work and the theories and boring concepts. Humans, judging from the psycological point of view are mostly afraid of changes. And these technological changes might induce an unconscious fear of our very environment itself. The repression becomes a sort of mental disorder that untreated will deteriorate into violence and other symtoms. The primal part of the unconscious mind surfaces which overlapses the rationality. (see Id, Ego, Superego)

These things plus other external factors might trigger aggressiveness in a whole society, increasing violence and crime rates until a certain extend which might collaspe humanity if unchecked. Turning things into what H.G Wells suggest as a future. An alternate vision would be a community controlled by shrinks.

A friend has came out that the things above will never ever happen from a business perspective of things. And i too agree in a sense :P thanks f.y

Intelligence - Part 1

Things have come to the level where one wished that one did not know too much of anything. Sometimes, ignorance is as good a shield as intelligence is. The reason that some people do not understand how dangerous information is when in the wrong hands, and to bear those information would somehow become an unwanted burden. The need to be on guard at all times to our own human basic natures of sharing. The whole social circle is a not much difference from a world political scene as individuals representing different countries. Each man or woman have their economy status, political stability(in this case i denote it as emotional state), state secrets, their press conferences( as in public knowledge of something), failures, successes, their defence and offenses (psycologically). Like most other countries in the world, these do not contain sofisticated intelligence gathering systems.

What is 'intelligence'?

Some may think that i've been reading too many Tom Clancy books of late that i've been confusing reality with fiction. Yet, what is produced here is just a amplication of human conduct by using larger examples. As we know that each human creation is partly develope from our own internal human structures and systems. So does how we govern nations as well as form stuctural systems.

Back to the question. Intelligence is information valued for its currency and relevance rather than its detail or accuracy. Intelligence gathering is a way to answer questions or obtain advance warning of events and movements deemed to be important or otherwise relevant. (wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_%28information_gathering%29) Or in other words , a form of self survival. As the chinese saying goes, "to know yourself and your enemy well, is to win the war already."

People

The man with many smiles
He believes that no one can look through the smile he portrays, a piece of false cardboard he pasted on his face. To chase loneliness and sadness away. He loves ice creams and and musical strings.

The man with a wandering mind
Here lies a dreamer who weaves a world of wonder. His silence is thought on with pity. But no other man knows his plight, nor loneliness, nor sadness that covers his sight. It is the man lost in a different time. Where his throne lies above all other things present...There is his life.

The man with many worries
Perfection is his dire. An intelligence to admire. His mind is a cruel one, that suppresses the heart that makes it tick. He thinks that this is wrong, that is tuning, and everything seems to have a problem. But he tries not to care, only to be pulled back by an invisible string. That seems to put a little human thing left in him.

Sphere

This book by Michael Crichton was about a bunch of scientist and navy personnels who were sent deep down into the pacific oceans to explore a vessel stuck on the ocean bed which was supposely had been lying there for 300 to 1000 years. They later found out that it was some sort of space ship from the future that supposedly travelled through time by lobbing itself around a black hole in space. On board the shuttle was an artifact of unknown origins which looked like a grey metallic egg..which they called the "Sphere". Apparently they found out in the end that this sphere provided humans with the ability to realize they imagination just by thinking about it. (after alot of deaths and distruction, which in the end left with 3 people surviving from the original 10) The problem with the sphere was it also realizes your unconscious thoughts, the part which humans have no control over their mind. Creatures from a person's nightmares were made real just with a single visualization of it in the mind., even though not on purpose. Fear was the cause of man in creating his own evils in the mind. And most man have no control over fear itself. Due to the fact that man have not and might not be able to understand him or herself entirely, or in other words cannot achieve full consciousness. The artifact became more of a dangerous mine, rather than a resource to tap in. (.....for the whole story, book is available in MMU library : )

Jumping into part of another story also by Michael Crichton entitled "The Terminal Man". Which states that in the case that any creation cannot possible fully comprehend itself. While another being of higher intelligent may. Which might not even have to be a creator. In the sense that technology might be surpassing the total intelligence of all human's added together in a decade or maybe only a few years. We see that, computers might be the being of "higher intelligence" that will be the one deciphering human kind instead. And by that time, we might be the ones having problems trying to comprehend computers when they start evolving on their own. Turning into a full matrix style explosion.

A touch of humanity..

A drop of blood,
Seal a thousand ties,
Drop of tears,
From a hundred cries,

A shoulder to lean upon,
A heart to be soothed,
An eye to dry,
Company to provide...

A touch of death,
A gesture of horror,
An image of sorrow,
Creates worries about tomorrow,

The day thereafter,
A breeze shall blow upon the ashes,
And heal the scars and gnashes,
And again love is born from the cradle,

A beginning of a cycle,
When warm diminishes winter,
Shedding off old clothes and dust,
A hearbeat free of rust,

Green shoots popping from the ground,
Laughter again fills the house,
Good memories to be found,
Before old age comes about,

When the clock ticks twelve,
Its time to remember,
The end of summer,
Its time to go to sleep again,
Untill the new year rain....

For a fellow friend and companion...

She

She comes and goes,
In a yellow gown that scatters around,
Like lilies strewn across the lake,
Within that mind that dances in brushes,
Of unicorns, knights and butterflies,
Far away castles floating upon the sky,

Dreams,
To catch a glimpse of that shimmering thunder,
Is to cure hunger with a drop of tear,
That wanting, a desire,
She wishes would not evade her.

It is like a diamond, a jewel,
Dangling across the soul,
The test,
Is to catch the purity that beholds.

Yet, the closer they are,
The further her eyes wander,
Searching, searching,
For that four leaf clover,

The lost that follows,
The sorrow she holds,
Close to her heart,
Is often tinged with salt, pepper and vinegar,
It is,
Sometimes hard to swallow,

On she skips,
Unhindered,
Her eyes soaked,
A crescent upon the lips,
A frown haunting the brow,
A shaded radiance upon the cheeks,

Look upon her,
She gives life a meaning,
A heart that keeps on thumping,
Hope paints the final picture,
The smile without laughter....
